How Busy Professionals Can Reverse Their Pain in Just 12 Weeks, Even If You've Tried Everything
It's not your age. It's not your body failing you. It's not that you haven't tried hard enough. Discover what's really stealing your life, and the proven method to get it back
Read This and Tell Me It Doesn't Sound Familiar
✅ You’ve been in pain for a while now, and nothing you’ve tried has fixed it for good
✅ You wake up and feel it before your feet even hit the floor
✅ You've started to wonder if pain is just part of getting older
✅ You're constantly calculating; can I lift that, can I sit there, will this hurt tomorrow?
✅ You’ve started saying “I’ll watch” instead of “I’ll join in”.
✅ Maybe you've told yourself you can live with it. That it's not really that bad.
✅ But deep down you know it’s robbing you of adventures big and small, of so many little moments, and the person you used to be.
You’re not alone…
I know exactly how this feels, because that used to be me.
This was the moment it all became too much. As I crouched down for the 10th time that morning, with pain shooting through both my knees, I knew I couldn’t go on like this.
I was working in a library reshelving books; crouching down, standing up, over and over. But I just couldn’t do it anymore. My right knee had been bad for around 8 years, and now my left knee had given up on me too.
I honestly didn’t know what to do.
It’s not like I hadn’t tried. I’d been to doctors over the years and the advice was always the same, “Just rest it.” “There’s nothing we can do”. Maybe this was just my life now.
I’d lost parts of myself; I used to be active, play sports, but I had to give all that up. I remember being on
holiday, watching everyone else go explore, while I stayed behind, sat on a bench. I tried to keep the joy
of movement alive by starting kung fu, but every session I’d hit a wall and have to sit the rest of the class out.
I honestly thought the active part of my life was over. I became the person who watched
The one who “used to”.
But now I had two bad knees and I was in my early 20s. How would I get by day to day? If this was what my
body was like now, what would it be like in ten years? Twenty? That thought scared me more than anything.
I thought my body had given up on me at 24…
Here's what changed everything
This is when work referred me to a physiotherapist.
After years of advice that hadn’t helped, I didn’t expect much. But this physio was different. He actually found the root cause of my pain, which had only been made worse by years of doing less and less. He told me I would need to keep my legs strong for the rest of my life, but I could get out of pain.
Over the first month I actually started to see a difference; more strength, less pain, bit by bit.
This man honestly changed my life. Not by waving a magic wand, but by showing me that my pain wasn't there because I was permanently broken, or even because of the original injury. It was there because my body couldn't handle what I was putting it through, as little as that was, and no one had ever shown me how to change that.
But here's what took me years to fully understand, and this is the part that changed everything.
A few years later, while I was managing a department full-time and completing my PhD, I developed debilitating RSI in both hands. At its worst I couldn't even carry a pack of ice creams home from the shop.
I went to a physio, did the exercises, and it got better. But when I was discharged, I knew it wasn't fully resolved. Yet I didn’t pursue it, I still let things slide.
The truth is, I knew I should be doing more to look after my body, but I felt like I didn't have a single minute to spare; there was always something more urgent. Within a year the RSI was back, and my knees got bad again too, because looking after them had quietly dropped to the bottom of my to do list.
Seeing this pattern play out again and again in my own body, and in other people I knew, it finally clicked.
The standard care model isn't designed to fix your problem. It’s designed to get you functional with as little time investment as possible.
You're rarely treated to the point where the pain doesn't come back. In private care, the model is built around repeat visits and recurring revenue. But it still doesn't give you the support you actually need. I saw this reaffirmed just last year; I shattered my index finger and needed surgery. I was discharged from physio still in pain, with limited function and less than half of my range of motion back; left to see the process out myself.
Here’s the sad truth; the system isn't broken. It's working exactly as it's designed to. It's just not designed for you.
What you really need is someone to identify the contributing factors, address them progressively, and make your body more resilient than it was before the pain. I set about doing exactly that for myself, applying everything I'd learned about exercise science, injury management and movement.
The results?
My RSI is gone.
My finger has made faster progress than expected.
And my knees, that couldn’t even handle steep hills, now carry me up mountains, and I can do
movements that most people with “bad knees” would never dream of attempting.
None of this happened because I’m naturally gifted, because I “got lucky” or even that I was young enough to bounce back. It happened because I finally had the right approach. One that treated the real cause, and which evolved alongside me.
And it took far less time out of my week than I'd been telling myself it would.
After years of coaching people, I built a system that fills all the gaps I’d experienced. One that finds the
real cause, gives you proper support, and doesn’t stop at “functional”.
It takes you all the way to strong, capable and confident in your body again.
I built this because I've been exactly where you are right now. Stuck. Frustrated. Wondering if this is just how life is going to be. Being told to rest, or to accept it, or that it's just your age.
It's not.
No matter your age, no matter how far gone you feel, no matter how long you’ve had it, there is a path to reverse your pain.
You don't have to spend years figuring it out like I did; I've already mapped out the path and walked plenty of people along it. I can help you get back your life, without years of unnecessary pain and missing out on the things that matter.

Keeping up with my two young kids, spending time with the family and running my business means that I struggle to find the time to stay fit.
It’s not that I didn’t want to change things, but the lack of time, sleep and motivation just stopped me from doing anything about it.
I was unsure about online coaching, and didn’t think I would have the time. The way the programme is delivered is great though. The online aspect worked really well, and I loved how flexible and well thought out the whole thing was.
Damien gave me plenty of encouragement throughout to keep me on track. I found him to be very knowledgeable and able to explain things really clearly. Keep up the great work!

I was struggling to keep up with my daughter and had pain in my back. I always felt low on energy, I felt I didn’t have time and that I would never succeed in changing.
Now when I pick up my daughter, I feel how much stronger I am, it’s easy. I’d always wanted to start skateboarding too, and now I finally have the energy.
When there is someone with experience that can help, it takes a lot of pressure off and makes everything so much easier. The process didn’t feel like a chore, I did the workouts because I felt good doing them.
If you can work with Damien, just do it, it’s a great experience and you get results.

Why Everything You've Tried Has Failed
(And What Was Missing)
Think about your experience. You see a physio or a doctor and they give you exercises, often the same ones they give everyone. You do them at home, following the grainy pictures on the sheet and hope you're doing them right. You go back a few weeks later, maybe they adjust things. Eventually they say you're "better" and send you on your way.
But were you actually fixed? Or were you just functional enough to stop coming back? Did your pain stay away?
That's the problem. The system is built to manage you, not to fix you.
They rarely look beyond where it hurts to find out why it hurts. Even if you’ve followed an online course, app or coach before it was most likely with a premade programme, designed for everyone and no one.
None of these people or systems check whether you're doing the exercises correctly. No one adjusts your programme as you get stronger or as your needs change. And no one sticks around long enough to make sure the pain doesn't come back.
That's exactly what I built my coaching to do.
My goal isn't to get you to "manageable" and wave you off. It's to get you strong, capable and confident in your body again. To build the strength and resilience you need so that the pain doesn't come back. To give you the knowledge and understanding of your own body so that you can take care of it for the long term.
I don't want you to need me forever. I want you to graduate from coaching knowing how to keep yourself fit for life.
That's why every client who has completed 12 weeks with me has seen a clinically significant reduction in their pain, and most of them have become completely pain free.
Here’s what that looks like in real numbers

More Contact, Not Less:
The Real Advantage of Online Coaching
Most pain healthcare is face-to-face for thirty minutes every few weeks, with no support in between.
If you’re struggling with something, you have to wait, and hope you can remember or recreate the problem at your next appointment.
And that’s if you can even get an appointment in the first place.
But with my online coaching, rather than waiting weeks for your next appointment when something doesn't feel right, you have direct access to me throughout. The support is continuous, not episodic.
With modern technology I’m always there for you, not just when the calendar permits, and you can do it all on your schedule.
When you send me a video of your training, I can see exactly how you move during the exercises that matter, not just during a clinical test in a treatment room. You can even show me issues in your day to day life. You capture any problems as they happen, so that we can fix the right thing, not what you thought was the problem.
This is why I’ve been able to help people that have still been left in pain after in person treatment.
The right online coaching isn’t just equivalent to in person, it’s better. Because I’m not really on the other side of a screen, I’m a trainer in your pocket, whenever you need me.
The Fit for Life Framework: From Stuck in Pain to Pain-Free in 12 Weeks
Here's exactly how it works, from your first conversation to lasting results.
Step 1- Discover what's really going on
Before anything else, we'll carry out a thorough assessment together. This isn't looking at where it hurts, it's a full evaluation of how your body moves, where it's strong, where it's weak, and what's actually causing your pain. We'll look across your whole body, not just the area that hurts, because the root cause is often somewhere you'd never expect. You'll come away with a clear picture of why you're in pain and what needs to change.
Step 2- Get a programme built around you
Based on your assessment, I'll design a programme tailored specifically to your body, your pain, and your life. Not a generic exercise sheet or follow along video. A structured, progressive plan that meets you exactly where you are right now. No two clients get the same programme, because no two bodies have the same problem, and no two lives are the same.
A programme that doesn’t fit the realities of your life is worthless, because consistency is what matters, not a week of perfection followed by 3 where you just don’t have the time. I’ll work with you to make sure you this is a programme you can manage, without adding more stress into your busy week.
Step 3- Progress through your recovery
Your programme follows a proven progression that begins with calming your nervous system to reduce your daily pain. At the same time you'll start to unlock your body and prepare your joints for what's ahead.
Next, you build on that foundation with targeted strength work and neural retraining,
teaching your body to move properly and getting stronger in the process.
Finally, you’ll increase resistance and load, building the kind of real-world strength
and resilience that means your pain doesn't come back.
Throughout you'll be improving your mobility, flexibility and body control,
and feeling the difference week by week.
Step 4- Stay supported every step of the way
This is where my approach is fundamentally different from anything you've tried before.
You'll never be left to figure things out alone.
Throughout the programme, I'll be tracking your progress, adjusting your plan, and giving you detailed feedback, so you always know you're doing the right thing, in the right way, at the right time. When doubt creeps in or progress feels slow, you'll have someone in your corner who's been exactly where you are, and a community of people on the same journey right alongside you.
Four steps. Twelve weeks. All you need for a body you can trust again.

I'm only 53, but I felt 103
I started getting pain in my hips, I thought, oh god I'm gonna fall. That threw my back out, then my shoulders and neck. I couldn’t even sit up from lying, and I was tired all the time.
I went to the doctor and a physio, but it didn’t help. Then a chiropractor and Pilates. They helped a bit, but after a year it still wasn’t enough.
I was just suffering in silence. You don't say, you just smile, say you're fine.
I need to be able to keep up with my 3 grandkids. After I picked one up I would be doubled over in pain. I shouldn’t be like this at my age. So I reached out to Damien to see if there was anything that could be done.
To begin with there was that fear of “what if I do something worse to myself?” But everything was so well planned out, you quickly get over it.
I feel 100% better than this time last year.
My grandson is 16kg, and I can pick him up, throw him and catch him. A year ago I wouldn't have been able to. I feel good about myself. I can do a lot more. It's given my confidence a boost; I'm willing to try anything.
Now I see myself reaching 90, still sprightly, chasing after my grandkids.
Don’t let is fester, go to Damien, he’s brilliant at what he does.

I wish I had contacted Damien a lot sooner!
An old leg & ankle injury was holding me back.
If I made a wrong move or turn it would flare up. Even sometimes just walking up a hill.
I've been through all the normal channels... GP’s, physiotherapy etc. but all they could offer me were a few exercises that really didn't help.
Even cortisol injections I found didn’t last and didn't even treat the problem!
A friend recommended I speak to Damien; she said he could help.
After several weeks of working with him I was getting more movement & flexibility. Then we built my strength and I started doing things I never saw myself doing at my age, like lifting weights.
I am now more grounded, stable and stronger, I can do more, my ankle pain is gone, plus I don’t have to worry about hurting myself.
I’m fitter now than I was 10 years ago.
Damien is friendly, thorough, attentive and a pleasure to work with.
I’m so glad I did!

What's Actually Included in Your 12 Weeks
Full Assessment:
A comprehensive evaluation of your whole body, not just where you feel pain. How you move, where you're strong, where you're weak, where things aren't working the way they should, all to identify the real root causes of your pain, and build your personalised recovery plan.
Your Personalised Programme:
A structured, progressive training plan designed specifically for your body, your pain, and your schedule. Delivered through an easy to use app with custom video demonstrations for every exercise so that you always know exactly what to do, and how to do it. All available 24/7, so you can train wherever and whenever works for you.
Weekly Programme Updates:
Your programme doesn't stay the same; it evolves with you. I track everything; your exercises, your progress, your pain levels, and adjust your programme constantly so you're always working on the right area, at the right intensity. Push too little and you won't progress. Push too hard and you risk making things worse. I make sure you're always in the sweet spot.
Form Feedback:
Film your key exercises, or anything you are unsure of, and receive detailed feedback on your technique. This is one of the biggest reasons my clients progress faster than they expected. No more guessing whether you're making things better or accidentally making them worse; you'll know every movement is doing exactly what it's meant to.
Regular Face-to-Face Check-ins:
Monthly video calls with me to review your progress, address any concerns, and make sure everything is on track.
You can ask more detailed questions, get extra feedback or even update me on that trip you need to work around.
Direct Coach Access:
Message me whenever you need to. No waiting weeks for your next appointment. If something comes up, we deal with it. If it needs an extra call, we’ll do it. Your needs are the priority.
Clinical Progress Tracking:
Regular pain questionnaires give you a clinically tested, objective and measurable record of how far you've come. Not guesswork, not "I think it feels a bit better," but real data showing your progress.
Client Community:
You are never doing this alone. Join a private group of people on the same journey. See others progressing, share your wins, and get support from people who genuinely understand what you're going through.
Lifestyle and Mindset Support:
In addition to your programme, you'll receive guidance on lifestyle changes and pain management strategies, that help you to fit this into your life, and feel better from your first week. Plus you’ll practice mindfulness techniques, that help reframe your relationship with pain for the better.
This is what the coaching you need to get out of pain looks like; an wholistic approach, tailored specifically to you with full support every step of the way.
Plus, Two Bonuses to Make Your Journey Easier
Bonus 1- The Busy Professional's Movement Guide
Start Reducing Your Pain, Even If Your Schedule Is Already Packed
Feel like your day is filled to bursting?
The good news is that even if you are stuck at your desk all day, and doing chores or looking after the kids all evening, you can squeeze in some valuable movement without adding a single minute to your day. This guide will show you how your morning coffee routine can become a two-minute pain-relieving stretch, and how you can create extra time in your day.
And because it's tailored to your specific pain, you'll be making progress from day one.
Bonus 2- The Pain-Free Desk Setup Guide
Reduce Your Pain Before You Even Start Training
For busy professionals the desk can be a major source of their problems. Hunched over a keyboard, staring at a screen, sat in a chair that doesn’t support you and at a desk that just doesn’t match your body.
No matter how many DSE assessments you do, some things you just can’t make better.
This guide turns that around, and shows how you can turn your desk into part of the solution, even if you’re stuck at a screen all day. It includes options that cost nothing, and changes you can make today to optimise your work set up, so your workspace starts working for your body instead of against it.

FAQs
-
Many of my clients come with a diagnosis of some kind. This programme isn't a replacement for medical care, and I'd always encourage you to stay connected with your healthcare team. What it addresses is what medical treatment typically leaves behind; the contributing factors, the movement patterns, the weakness and compensation that build up around the original problem.
Having a diagnosis can give us a clearer picture of what needs to be addressed, not a reason to hold back. The one exception is a very recent, unassessed injury. If something has happened in the last few weeks that hasn't been looked at by a healthcare professional, get that checked first, then come back.
-
That’s not a problem, many of my clients are in this situation; often the causes are actually related. The whole-body assessment is specifically designed to map those connections, finding what's contributing to each area of pain and how they relate to each other.
Because we're addressing root causes rather than isolated symptoms, the programme often tackles multiple areas at the same time.
-
This is a completely understandable fear, especially if you've been in pain for a long time or exercise has caused you problems before. When exercise makes pain worse, it's almost always a sign that the wrong thing was prescribed, not that exercise itself is the problem.
It is usually down to a generic programme not built for your body, no real understanding of what was causing the pain in the first place, or nobody checking if were doing the exercises correctly.
This programme starts by finding the actual root cause, builds a plan around you, checks your form throughout, and adjusts as you progress. The first stage is specifically about calming your nervous system and reducing your daily pain; nothing aggressive, nothing that pushes through pain. Everything that follows is built around what your body can handle.
-
Honestly, it varies, because everyone starts in a different place and the your programme is built around your needs.
Most people do two to three sessions a week, and I work with you to make sure they fit into your schedule, even if it means more work for me.
-
You don't need a gym membership (though you can use a gym if you like). Most of what you'll do in the early stages requires very little (foam roller, tennis ball etc.).
As the programme progresses, some basic resistance equipment is likely to be introduced, typically resistance bands, and/or a set of light dumbbells. What's needed will become clear from your assessment, and I'll always make sure anything required is accessible and proportionate to where you are in the programme.
-
The goal of the 12 weeks isn't to make you dependent on coaching, it's to build the strength, knowledge, and body awareness to take care of yourself long term. By the end, your clinical progress tracking will show exactly how far you've come, and you'll have a clear understanding of what your body needs to stay there.
Some clients choose to continue working with me at that point, either to finish off those final weak links or to pursue new goals in their revitalised body. Others are confident to continue independently. Either way, for the first time in a while, that choice comes from a place of strength, not necessity

After experiencing knee pain during kung fu training, I contacted Damien.
Damien is very professional and personable, and he really helps you feel at ease. He looks carefully into the possible causes of the pain and explains things clearly.
He really me helped a lot. The pain in my knee disappeared in less than two months!
I decided to continue working with him to further strengthen legs, which has really helped my kung fu.
Damien gives clear feedback and adapts the exercises to your level, while still challenging you to grow. His guidance is valuable for anyone.
I highly recommend him to anyone looking for professional and effective support!

Damien takes things from individual ‘puzzle pieces’ and lets you see the big picture.
I’ve been training with others for years, and I’m constantly amazed at the depth of knowledge that Damien can bring to his coaching.
It not only helps you to perform the exercises correctly, but having that background information helps you to understand their purpose and how to use them going forward.

Less Pain in 12 Weeks, Or I Keep Coaching You Free
I know you’ve probably been promised that a treatment will help your pain before, and been left disappointed. It can feel like time and money down the drain, and each time you lose a little hope that it will ever get better.
I never want you to feel that way again. That’s why if you commit to the coaching and don’t see a clinically significant reduction in your pain in 12 weeks, I’ll continue working with you until you do, for free.
I’m so confident in the results I get for my clients that I stand behind this guarantee 100%.
So far only one client has needed it, and with the extra coaching, they got the result.
So when you work with me you can be safe in the knowledge that you’ll get there too.
Every Week You Wait is a Week You Don't Get Back
You already know what happens if nothing changes.
The same pain tomorrow. The same limitations next month. The same "I'll look into it" conversation with yourself that you've been having for months, maybe years.
But here's what most people don't think about: pain doesn't just stay the same. It compounds. Your body adapts around it. You move less, you get weaker, the muscles that should be protecting you lose their ability to do their job. The problem that could be addressed in twelve weeks today becomes a longer, harder road six months from now.
And while your body is slowly getting worse, your life keeps moving forward without you. Your kids get older. The adventures you've been putting off don't wait. The window to be the active, present parent and partner you want to be gets a little narrower every day.
You've already spent years trying to live with it. How many more are you willing to lose?
There's one more thing worth being straight about. I'm one person. Every assessment is done by me. Every programme is written by me. Every form video is reviewed by me. Every message gets a reply from me. That kind of coaching has a ceiling, and I hit it quickly. When my client list is full, the next opening isn't until someone finishes their twelve weeks; sometimes that's a few weeks away, sometimes it's months.
Which means the real cost of "I'll think about it" isn't just more weeks of pain. It's potentially months on a waiting list before you can even start.
If you're reading this and something in your gut is telling you it's time, trust that instinct. You've done the research. You've read the story. You know this is different from anything you've tried before.
The only question left is whether you start now, or look back in twelve weeks and wish you had.
Maybe something in this page described your life a little too accurately. The morning aches, the things you've stopped doing, the feeling that your body is slowly turning you into someone else.
Maybe you recognised your own story in mine; the same doctors, the same advice, the same failed treatment, the same frustration of being told to rest when rest was never going to fix it.
But maybe it's simpler than that. Maybe you're just tired. Tired of hurting, tired of holding back, tired of watching life happen from the sidelines.
Whatever brought you here, you already know something needs to change. You've known for a while.
The question isn't whether this will work. It does. The method is proven, the support is real, and the guarantee means I'll keep working with you until you get there.
The question is whether you're ready to stop putting it off.
Because nothing on this page changes your situation. Only you can do that. And twelve weeks from now, you'll either be the person who took action, who is stronger, more capable, and more confident in their body than they've felt in years…
Or you'll be exactly where you are right now, still wondering if things could be different.
They can be.
I built this because I've been where you are. I know what it costs to stay there. And I know what's waiting on the other side.
Now is the time to book a free consultation call with me. We’ll explore your pain, your history and your goals to work out the right way forward for you. If you decide I’m not the right coach for you, that’s fine. I’ll do my best to point you in the right direction, so that either way, you come away with next steps for your journey out of pain.
You've Read This Far Because You’re In Pain
